Macho & Minx

Macho & Minx is a proudly South African small business started in Cape Town in (February) 2019.  It was launched by a mum of three kids and a desire for creativity that could be functional, help support South African artisans & make women feel good.  With a passion for quirkiness, fun, beautiful things, exercise & comfy clothes, the first yoga leggings were born.  With an enormous love for animals (who can’t wear our gorgeous leggings), Macho & Minx has and continues to donate a portion of its monthly sales to supporting Mdzananda Animal Clinic in Khayelitsha.  This incredible shelter has grown from a one-man show into a fully functional clinic for all those in the Khayelitsha community, educating & assisting them in looking after their fury babies.

 Macho & Minx sources its fabrics locally (which may be imported).  The patterns are made and cut locally by a woman in Woodstock.  The fabric is cut locally by a gentleman in Manemburg and the made items are sewn locally by a woman in Retreat.  Macho & Minx believes in supporting the community as much as possible and thus will be keeping the business small, local and personal.
